MEC Player of the Week (Presented By The Health Plan)

Prior to the 2022-23 season, the Mountain East Conference announced an expanded sponsorship agreement with The Health Plan. The Health Plan will now be the title sponsor for the league’s weekly Player of the Week program.

The Health Plan, a West Virginia-based health maintenance organization that manages and improves the health and well-being of its members, has served as the presenting sponsor of the Mountain East Conference Men’s & Women’s Basketball Tournament at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling since 2019.

The new agreement aligns The Health Plan brand to create the MEC Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan. The player of the week program recognizes standout student-athlete performances in each of the conference’s 23 championship sports.
