BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Notre Dame College’s La’Ron Parks has been named the Mountain East Conference Wrestler of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
The MEC Wrestler of the Week award are presented by The Health Plan.
 
Parks, a sophomore from Euclid, Ohio, went 4-0 this past week, including 3-0 at the John Carroll Invitational. Parks began the week with a 2-1 win over Ashland heavyweight Ty Petrey during a dual on Friday evening. He then went 3-0 and took first-place in the heavyweight bracket at JCU on Sunday. His performance at JCU included a quarterfinal win over Michigan State’s James Campbell (4-2), a semifinal win over Edinboro’s Max Millin, and a 2-1 decision over Edinboro’s Kade Sottolano in the finals.
