BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference today announced its fourth Swimmer of the Week awards of the 2022-23 season. Viggy Muley of Davis & Elkins was recognized as the Men’s Swimmer of the Week, while Notre Dame’s Brooke Dobrzanski was tabbed as the Women’s Swimmer of the Week.

Muley, from Cerritos, Calif., led Davis & Elkins to a 156-41 victory over Malone this past week with a trio of individual event victories. He took first in the 1000 free with a time of 10:51.95, finished first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:03.63, and was first in the 500 free with a time of 5:14.46.
 
Dobrzanski, a senior from Monroe, Mich., won five of her seven events over the weekend during a dual meet at Ashland and a tri-meet at Wooster and Bluffton. She also added two runner-up finishes. Dobrzanski won the 50 free, twice (25.93 and 26.06), the 400 free relay, twice (3:50.43 and 3:50.99), and also took first in the 100 free with a time of 56.84.
