Track & Field Concludes 2025-26 Season at NCAA DII Track & Field Championships

EMPORIA, Kansas - Five Mountain East Conference athletes competed in the NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships this week at Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas.

On Thursday, Charleston’s Mia Huber finished 16th overall in the women’s hammer throw, with a mark of 51.86. On the track, teammate Colette Patti placed 14th overall with a time of 11.88 in the women’s 100 meters. The duo earned Second Team All-America honors with their respective placements. 

On Saturday, Glenville State’s Janae Scott finished 14th in the women’s shot, marking 14.35 meters. West Virginia Wesleyan’s Michael Hansford placed 14.85 in the men’s triple jump, leaping 14.85 meters. Charleston’s Matthew Meli concluded the evening with a time of 14:20.11 in the men’s 5,000 meters, 13th place. With their placements, all three athletes earned Second Team All-America accolades. 

The MEC track and field teams concluded the 2025-26 season at the NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
