MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship are set to get underway Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at the Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park.
The three-day event runs through Tuesday, culminating with an Awards Ceremony at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, the Decathalon begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by the Heptathalon at 12:30 p.m. There are four Field event finals on Sunday: Men’s Hammer Throw (noon); Women’s Hammer Throw (2:15 p.m.); Men’s Javelin (4:45 p.m.); and Women’s Javelin (6:45 p.m.).
Running events begin at 6:30 p.m. The Men’s 10,000-meter final will be held at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Women’s 10,000-meter final at 8:15 p.m.
Events begin at 11 a.m. on Monday and run through 8:30 p.m. Tuesday’s action gets started at 11 a.m.
The teams competing in this year’s event: Concord, Davis & Elkins, Frostburg State, Glenville State, Point Park, University of Charleston, West Liberty, West Virginia State, West Virginia Wesleyan, and Wheeling.
