Point Park Sweeps Baseball Weekly Honors

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - The Mountain East Conference has announced the winners of this week’s MEC Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
 
Point Park’s Chris Williams has been named the MEC Baseball Player of the Week while fellow Pioneer Harold Boyce has been named the MEC Pitchers of the Week.
 
Williams, a junior from Miami, Florida, hit .316 on the week with two home runs (grand slams), two doubles and 13 runs batted in. He had a .737 slugging percentage and two stolen bases on the week.
 
Boyce, a senior from Bakersfield, California, pitched a three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts against Wheeling on Friday night. He improved to 7-3 on the year with the shutout.
