BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference has announced the winners of this week’s MEC Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
 
Concord’s Korbin Bostic has been named the MEC Baseball Player of the Week while Frostburg State’s Bryce Bauer and Point Park’s Camden Dimidjian have been named the MEC Co-Pitchers of the Week.
 
Bostic, a senior from Logan, West Virginia, batted .417 on the week (5-for-12) with a double, three home runs and 12 RBI as Concord went 3-2 during the week. Bostic was pivotal in the Mountain Lions taking the first two games of the West Virginia State series as he slugged three home runs and tallied 10 RBI in 10-2 and 12-2 win for Concord. He came back Sunday with two RBI in a narrow 6-5 loss to the Yellow Jackets. For the week, Bostic had a slugging percentage of 1.250 and had an OPS of 1.838.
 
Bauer, a freshman from Havre de Grace, Maryland, had a career day on the mound in the team's 13-1 series finale victory over Point Park. He threw six innings (becoming a complete game due to an incomplete seventh inning) while recording seven strikeouts, both setting career-highs. He allowed just four hits and no walks while giving up one run.
 
Diminjian, a senior from Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, pitched a complete game to defeat Frostburg State 8-1 on Saturday afternoon. In the start, he allowed one run on three hits while striking out six. He is now 6-1 on the season.
