BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced Friday afternoon the 2026 Women’s Lacrosse all-conference teams.
The All-MEC first team, second team, honorable mention, and all-freshman teams were voted on by the league’s head coaches. Regular season co-champion Frostburg State, which finished 14-3 overall and 9-1 in conference competition, had a league-best for All-MEC first team selections. Nelia Haney, Daniella Boss, Maya Mosslih, and Izzy Kelly were recognized on the first team for the Bobcats.
The University of Charleston, also Regular season co-champions as they went 9-1, had three All-MEC first team selections: Sylvi Jenner, Madison Partridge, and Avery Butts.
Dominican University of California, in its second season as an associate member of the MEC, earned three first team nods: Morgan Newkirk, Olivia Johnson, and Elke Moerkesth.
Just like last year, the MEC will announce the Attacker of the Year, Midfielder of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Goalie of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year on Saturday, May 2, upon the conclusion of the MEC Women’s Lacrosse Championship semifinal matchups. MEC tournament play begins Sunday at 7 p.m. when fourth-seeded Wheeling hosts fifth-seeded Davis & Elkins. The winner advances to play at Frostburg State on Thursday, April 30, at 6 p.m. In the other semifinal, third-seeded Dominican will travel from San Rafael, California, to play at second-seeded Charleston on Thursday, April 30 at 3 p.m.
The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, May 3 at 1 p.m., at the site of the highest remaining seeded team.
