Frostburg State's Historical Season Ends in NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Frostburg State, which earned the Mountain East Conference’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Pod 1, lost to East Stroudsburg, 18-8, on Thursday afternoon.

The sixth-seeded Bobcats, which swept the MEC’s regular season and tournament titles, finish 13-6. Frostburg State won its third consecutive MEC championship and navigated league play undefeated for the second year in a row. Historically, the Bobcats are the first program to represent the MEC in the NCAA Division II tournament.

Frostburg State found its footing in Thursday’s second half with a six-goal outburst in the third. Neila Haney and Julia Badolato each scored a pair of goals, and 2025 MEC Offensive Player of the Year Camden DeMaio added a goal and two assists.

East Stroudsburg advances to face Slipper Rock on Saturday at 3 p.m.
