BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Swimmer of the Week awards. The weekly awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Davis & Elkins’ Payton Williamson is the MEC Men’s Swimmer of the Week, while Fairmont State’s Delaney Householder is the MEC Women’s Swimmer of the Week.

Williamson, a junior from Shelbyville, Michigan, was victorious in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard freestyle, and was a part of the 400-yard freestyle relay winning team in the Senators’ home meet against Fairmont State.

Householder, a sophomore from Morgantown, West Virginia, earned first-place finishes in all three of her events in a decisive win against Davis & Elkins: 50-yard backstroke, 200-yard individual medley, and the 100-yard backstroke. Additionally, Householder swam the fastest split in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
