BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Swimmer of the Week awards. The weekly awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Davis & Elkins teammates Leonardo Coelho and Savannah Foley are the MEC Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week, respectively.

Coelho, a freshman from Brazil, helped the Senators to a win against Wheeling. He had four first-place finishes: 200 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 500 freestyle, and 400 freestyle relay.

Foley, a junior from Lake Stevens, Washington, had a trio of first-place finishes for the Senators. She won the 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, and then anchored Davis & Elkins’ 400 freestyle relay team in a win against Wheeling.
