2026 MEC Acrobatics & Tumbling Honors Announced

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - On the eve of the 2026 Mountain East Conference Acrobatics & Tumbling Championships, the MEC announced Friday its postseason award winners and all-conference teams. 

The MEC Acrobatics & Tumbling Top Honors were captured by Glenville State’s Savannah Duckworth, as voted the MEC Athlete of the Year. Duckworth, who will lead the second-seed Pioneers into Saturday's semifinal at Joe Retton Arena in Fairmont, West Virginia, helped the program to a second-place finish in the MEC and a No. 11 national ranking in the latest NCATA poll. 

Glenville State's Delaney Rosales was voted as the MEC Specialist of the Year. Fairmont State’s Cali Way was named the MEC Freshman of the Year. 

Glenville State's Taylor Broadwater captured the MEC Coach of the Year Award, as voted on by the league's coaches. 

Duckworth, a senior top and tumbler is from Washington, West Virginia, is a two-time MEC Athlete of the Week and an NCATA honorable mention athlete of the week. She competed in 11 heats as well as the team event.

Rosales, a senior base and tumbler is from South Elgin, Illinois, is a two-time MEC Specialist of the Week this season. She has helped GSU post 17 scores this season of 9.5 or higher in pyramid. Rosales and the Pioneers haven’t scored below a 9.7 in open, and 9.55 in inversion.

Way, a base and tumbler from Parkersburg, West Virginia, competes in 5/6 heats as a freshman for the Falcons. She was named the NCATA Freshman of the Week twice this season and received an NCATA Freshman of the Week Honorable Mention.

Broadwater captures the MEC Coach of the Year honor after leading Glenville State to a second-place finish in the league. She is in her fourth season leading the Pioneers.
