BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference has selected the winners of this week’s MEC Player of the Week awards for women’s lacrosse. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
Charleston’s Alyse Weber has been named the MEC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week while fellow Golden Eagle Megan Liston has been named the MEC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.
Weber, a sophomore midfielder from Pottstown, Pennsylvania had five goals on seven shots, three ground balls, 11 draw controls, and caused a turnover in UC’s 17-9 win over Walsh.
Liston, a senior goalkeeper from Pickerington, Ohio, had 11 saves with a .550 save percentage while also having two ground balls in a 17-9 win over Walsh.
