WLU Spectator Policy
Seven teams will head to the ASRC on the campus of West Liberty University for the 2022 Mountain East Conference Wrestling Tournament. The competition will start at 10 a.m. and will continue all day through the finals of each weight class.

The championship includes Alderson Broaddus, Davis & Elkins, Fairmont State, Glenville State, Notre Dame, West Liberty and Wheeling.
West Liberty, currently ranked fourth in the country in the most recent National Wrestling Coaches Association poll, is the defending champion after coming away with the title a year ago. The Hilltoppers had six individual weight class champions at last year's tournament, including returning champs Cole Laya (125), Tyler Warner (champ at 133 pounds, now at 141), Connor Craig (184), Logan Kemp (197) and Francesco Borsellino (285). Laya is currently ranked No. 1 in the country, Warner is No. 12, Craig is ranked No. 2, Kemp is fourth and Borsellino is ranked No. 6. WLU's Ty McGeary is also nationally ranked at 174 pounds coming in at No. 3. Chase Morgan (165) was a runner-up for the Hilltoppers at the MEC Tournament a season ago.
Alderson Broaddus is receiving votes in the most recent NWCA poll. AB's Jamar Williams was the champ last year at 165 pounds, but will be competing at 157 this season. The Battlers also bring back Gino Sita who was runner-up at 197 pounds at last year's championship. Sita is ranked No. 7 in the country. Josh Laubach (149) was also a runner-up at last year's MEC Championship and is back this year seeking a title.
Davis & Elkins' returns Craig Cook, who was runner-up at 149 pounds last season. Cook is ranked 11th in the country. The Senators are also receiving votes in the most recent poll.
