2021 MEC Women's Basketball Tournament Field Set

-- The seedings and pairings for the 2021 Mountain East Conference Tournament presented by The Health Plan have been finalized after the conclusion of today's action.

The top five teams in each division qualified for the tournament with the top three in each division receiving byes. Notre Dame College captured the North Division, while the University of Charleston secured the South Division with a win on the final day.

After Notre Dame in the North, Wheeling defeated West Liberty on Saturday and secured the No. 2 seed over West Liberty via the tiebreaker. After the Hilltoppers, Fairmont State was fourth in the North, followed by Alderson Broaddus. The Falcons will host the Battlers on Monday night in Fairmont for the first round of the tournament. 

In the South Division, Glenville State earned the No. 2 seed. Concord wrapped up a first-round bye with a win over the Pioneers on Saturday. West Virginia State finished fourth in the South, followed by West Virginia Wesleyan. The Yellow Jackets and Bobcats will meet in the first round of the tournament on Monday night on the WVSU campus.
