GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- Glenville State made 17-three-pointers and out-rebounded Wheeling by 29 on its way to a 125-81 win on Wednesday night at the Waco Center.
Re'Shawna Stone paced the Pioneers (9-4, 5-2 MEC) with 22, while Zakiyah Winfield added 22 more. Ty Armstrong added 18 points, six rebounds and five steals. GSC forced 26 turnovers in the game and had a 38-11 advantage in points off turnovers in the game.
Lilly Ritz had a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds for Wheeling (3-9, 2-5). Khira Burton contributed 22 points for the Cardinals.
Charleston 105, West Virginia Wesleyan 38 | Final Stats
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Charleston cruised past West Virginia Wesleyan, 105-39, on Wednesday night at the Wehrle Innovation Center.
The Golden Eagles (11-2, 6-1) raced out to a 30-8 lead in the first quarter, and built a 61-21 lead at the break. UC shot 55 percent from the field in the win.
Brooklyn Pannell led the way with 27 points for UC. Anna Hayton scored 19 points and had five rebounds. Emily Simon contributed 12 points and six boards.
Abi Gabauer had nine points for WVWC (3-10, 1-6).
Concord 83, West Liberty 71 | Final Stats
ATHENS, W.Va. -- Concord got double-doubles from Madison May and Riley Fitzwater to help the Mountain Lions defeat West Liberty, 83-71, on Wednesday night at the Carter Center.
May went for 32 points and 13 rebounds to lead the way for CU (9-3, 6-1). May was a perfect 16-of-16 from the free throw line on the night. Fitzwater was 9-of-14 from the field on her way to 22 points and pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.
Concord had a 40-21 advantage on the glass. The Mountain Lions had 50 points in the paint, compared to just 22 for West Liberty.
The Hilltoppers (6-7, 2-5) were led by 21 points from Taylor Johnson. Olivia Belknap had 14 and Morgan Brunner chipped in 10.
Urbana 99, Fairmont State 82 | Final Stats
FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- A pair of 30-point games from Sylvia Hudson and Tyra James helped Urbana earn a 99-82 road win over Fairmont State on Wednesday night.
Hudson was 14-of-18 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line to finish with a game-high 36 points. She also pulled down 17 rebounds for the Blue Knights (8-5, 4-3) in the win. James added 31 points on 15-of-17 shooting from the field and also notched a double-double with 12 rebounds. UU also got 10 points apiece off the bench from Kasey Knippen and Lexie Wright.
Leading by just seven at the break, Urbana doubled up Fairmont State (7-6, 4-3) in the third quarter, 34-17, to take command of the game. The Blue Knights had a big edge on the glass on the night, 56-28, and had 70 points in the paint.
Sierra Kotchmand led the way for FSU with 21 points. Rachel Laskody had 15 and Kamrin Weimer added 11.
Notre Dame 72, Frostburg State 63 | Final Stats
CUMBERLAND, Md. -- Notre Dame rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat Frostburg State, 72-63, on Wednesday night.
The Falcons (12-1, 6-1) trailed by six at the half, 34-28, but used a strong third quarter to surge in front. Notre Dame connected on 53 percent from the field in the third quarter, and held the Bobcats (2-11, 1-6) to just three field goals in the quarter. After the Falcons just scored 28 points in the first half, NDC notched 29 in the third quarter alone to lead 57-48. Frostburg State would get to within four with just under three minutes to play, but NDC would not allow FSU to get any closer.
Seina Adachi had 24 points and eight rebounds to lead the Falcons. Jada Marone scored 19 more for NDC.
Amanda Emory led Frostburg State with 22 points and eight rebounds. Victoria Diggs added 18 more for the Bobcats.
West Virginia State 103, Davis & Elkins 101 | Final Stats (not available)
INSTITUTE, W.Va. -- West Virginia State led by as many as 20 points in the second half, but needed to hold off a late rally from Davis & Elkins in a 103-101 win over the Senators on Wednesday night at the Walker Convocation Center.
