Frostburg State/Charleston Football Game Moved To Thursday, Oct. 17

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The Mountain East Conference today announced that the University of Charleston at Frostburg State football game originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, has been moved to Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.

The game will now be televised live on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) and at 9 p.m. on ATT SportsNet Pittsburgh, reaching nearly 10 million homes -- the largest audience for a MEC game. In addition to being available in Maryland, MASN is available in six other states in the region stretching from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Charlotte, North Carolina. MASN is on 30 cable and fiber optic providerss and is televised nationally via satellite providers DirecTV and Dish Network. ATT SportsNet Pittsburgh, which has broadcast multiple Mountain East Conference events in recent years, stretches across five states and delivers more than 350 live events each year – all of which are available in high definition.

"We expect to treat fans to a competitive and entertaining MEC football game."

Frostburg State and Charleston are both currently off to 3-1 starts to their respective seasons. The Bobcats are coming off an overtime victory on the road against Fairmont State, while the Golden Eagles knocked off Division I Valparaiso (FCS) last week.
