MEC Places Seven on 2025 Don Hansen Football NCAA Division II All-America Team

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Don Hansen Football Committee has released the 2025 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team Thursday afternoon. The Mountain East Conference had seven total players earn honors.
 
Charleston’s Aden Miller earned honorable mention. Miller, a senior linebacker from Cincinnati, Ohio, led the Golden Eagles in total tackles with 65. He also tallied 2.5 TFL’s, 1.5 sacks, a fumble recovery, and a forced fumble. He was also the 2025 MEC Defensive Player of the Year and an All-MEC First team selection.
 
Fairmont State’s Leonard Farrow also earned honorable mention. Farrow, a junior from Mount Hope, W.Va., was an All-MEC first teamer and was also a second team D2CCA Super Region 1 Football Team selection. He rushed for 1,438 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 1,438 rushing yards ranks him 5th in Division II in Rushing Yards.
 
Frostburg State saw three players earn honorable mention in, Owen Doyle, Wylan Harich, and Doug Pruim II. Doyle, a redshirt junior running back from Denton, Maryland, rushed for a team best 1,056 yards while scoring 12 touchdowns. He was an All-MEC first teamer.
 
Harich, a senior defensive back from Point of Rocks, Maryland, was second in total tackle for the Bobcats with 61. He also had 2.0 TFL’s, a sack, to go along with three interceptions, and 8 PBU’s. He was also an All-MEC first teamer.
 
Prium II, a senior offensive lineman from Gloucester, Va., was also an All-MEC first teamer and a First Team selection on the 2025 D2CCA Super Region 1 Football team.
 
West Liberty had Hunter Patterson earn honorable mention status. Patterson, a junior from Chester, W.Va., was the 2025 MEC Offensive Player of the Year, an All-MEC first team selection, and was a second teamer on the 2025 D2CCA Super Region 1 Football Team. Patterson rushed for 1,219 yards this season to go along with 17 touchdowns. He also ranks 2nd in Division II in Scoring with 12.0 PPG. 
 
While Wheeling’s Leonard Sherrod III also was named to the honorable mention team. Sherrod III, a junior defensive back from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was third for the Cardinals in total tackles with 97. He also had 2.5 TFL’s, five interceptions, six PBU’s, two fumble recoveries, and a forced fumble. He was also a All-MEC First team selection.
 
The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.
