BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The Mountain East Conference has announced matchups and individual event qualifiers for the inaugural MEC Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship to be held this weekend at Joe Retton Arena on the campus of Fairmont State University. The conference championship is the first of its kind in the country at any level in this sport. 

Tickets for each session are $8 for adults and $3 for students. MEC students with a valid ID and kids under five are free.

Fairmont State is the top seed for the championship after going 4-0 in MEC competition this spring. The Falcons will take on West Liberty in the semifinals on Friday night at 7 p.m. Second-seeded Glenville State will face third-seeded West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday at 5 p.m. The winners from Friday night's semifinal will compete for the championship on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Additionally, the MEC announced qualifiers for individual events based on the top event scores during MEC competition this season. The MEC individual event competition will take place on Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
