Tanouye, McDonald Earn Weekly Cross Country Honors

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Cross Country Runner of the Week awards. The weekly awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Fairmont State’s Donovan Tanouye is the MEC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, while Frostburg State’s Izabella McDonald is the MEC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. 

Tanouye, a sophomore from Paw Paw, West Virginia, earned a seventh place finish with a time of 26:02.2 in the 8k race at the NCAA D3 South Regional Preview. Tanouye helped the Falcons to a seventh place team finish. 

McDonald, a freshman from Columbia, Maryland, ran a time of 11:28.7 in the 3k race. McDonald’s time earned her a third overall finish at the Hornet Harrier Invitational.
