CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- Glenville State closed out the 2026 season on Saturday afternoon, falling 5-0, to North Georgia inside Frost Stadium at Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Both teams were held scoreless until the fourth inning, before North Georgia’s Marycille Brumby collected an RBI with a double to center field, 1-0.
The Nighthawks continued their offensive effort throughout the inning, as Journey Roberts homered to left field, bringing two runners in with her, 4-0.
North Georgia added their last hit of the contest with an RBI from Kaitlyn Johnson, 5-0.
Glenville State was limited offensively with two hits from juniors Emily Nolan and Lillian Burns.
Junior Maci Boggess pitched for 3.2 innings while allowing one hit on two runs, with two strikeouts.
The Pioneers conclude the season 51-18 with a 24-6 mark in conference play. The program made its first ever appearances in both the NCAA DII Softball Finals and the NCAA Atlantic Super Regional. Additionally, GSU took home the NCAA Atlantic Super Regional, NCAA Atlantic Regional and Mountain East Conference titles.
