BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference has selected the winners of this week’s MEC Player of the Week awards for women’s lacrosse. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
Charleston’s Darby Stolz has been named the MEC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week while fellow Golden Eagle Megan Liston has been named the MEC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.
Stolz, a senior from Scarborough, Maine, totaled 11 points last week. In the win against Frostburg State, she had 1 goal and 2 assists. In the win against Wheeling, she scored 7 goals, and added 1 assist, 1 ground ball, and 1 caused turnover.
Liston, a senior from Pickerington, Ohio, played all 120 minutes last week. Against Frostburg State, she had 9 saves and 1 ground ball. Against Wheeling, she had 6 saves, 3 ground balls, and 1 caused turnover.
