BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Wednesday afternoon this week’s Men’s and Women’s Golfers of the Week awards. The MEC’s weekly individual awards are presented by The Health Plan.
 
West Virginia State’s Williams Wentz is the MEC Men’s Golfer of the Week. There were no nominations for Women’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Wentz, a freshman from Charleston, West Virginia, posted scores of 81 and 80 putting him tied for 2^nd at the Bobcat Spring Open hosted by West Virginia Wesleyan. He helped the Yellow Jackets finish 2^nd at the tournament.
