Fairmont State Earns Bid to NCATA National Championships

Glenville State Qualifies in Two Event Finals at Nationals

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Fairmont State University, on the heels of its Mountain East Conference championship sweep, earned a bid to the 2025 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association. NCATA announced the eight-team field Sunday afternoon following the conclusion of the regular season and championship events.
 
The Falcons are seeded No. 5 and will face host Augustana University in the quarterfinals on April 24 at 7 p.m., the final of four matchups that will be held that day at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The semifinals are set for Friday, April 26, and the championship final will be held Saturday, April 26 at 5 p.m., also at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls.

lections to event finals, which are set for 10 a.m. on Sunday morning to wrap up championship weekend. Glenville State, which made the MEC Championship against Fairmont State and was ranked No. 13 nationally in the final NCATA poll, qualified in two events: Acro – 5-Element and Pyramid – Inversion. 

The defending national champion Baylor Bears have earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will meet No. 8 seed Limestone in the third quarterfinal of the day on Thursday, April 24 (at 4:30 p.m.). In the nightcap, fourth seed and host Augustana will take on fifth-seeded Fairmont State at 7 p.m.

Thursday’s quarterfinal round will begin with No. 3 seed Quinnipiac against No. 6 seed Iona at 10:30 a.m., followed by No. 2 Oregon verses No. 7 Mary Hardin-Baylor at 1:30 p.m.

All meets will also be streamed live on ESPN+.
