Fairmont State Set for NCATA Championships on Thursday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Fairmont State is set to compete in the 2025 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association Championship on Thursday.

The Falcons, who swept the Mountain East Conference regular season and tournament championship this month, are the No. 5 seed and will face host Augustana University at 7 p.m. (Central) in Thursday’s quarterfinals. The NCATA National Championships will feature four matchups Thursday at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The semifinals are set for Friday, and the NCATA Championship will be held Saturday at 5 p.m.

The defending national champion Baylor Bears will face No. 8 seed Limestone on Thursday. The quarterfinal round will begin with No. 3 seed Quinnipiac against No. 6 seed Iona, followed by No. 2 Oregon against No. 7 Mary Hardin-Baylor.

All meets will also be streamed live on ESPN+ and the Watch ESPN app.

Fairmont State finished 10-1 overall and 6-0 in MEC competition this season. Prior to the MEC Championship, the Falcons’ Katey Koehl was named the MEC Athlete of the Year and Danielle Cutri was named MEC Coach of the Year. Koehl, a top, tumbler, and base, and teammate Izaria McWhorter-Martin, a base, were named All-MEC first team selections. Olivia Daniels, Brylee Knotts, Reghan Mollohan, Chloe Smith, and Rylee Vinson were named second team all-conference picks.

Also representing the MEC this week will be Glenville State, which qualified for the NCATA Event Finals in two events: Acro – 5-Element and Pyramid – Inversion.
