Glenville State's Ward Named NCATA Freshman of the Year

Duckworth, Koehl Named All-Americans; Vinson Earns Academic Honor

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) announced its postseason awards following Sunday’s conclusion of the 2025 season, and the Mountain East Conference had strong representation.

Glenville State’s Aubrey Ward was honored as the NCATA Freshman of the Year for Division II. Ward’s teammate, Savannah Duckworth, and Fairmont State’s Katey Koehl were named to the NCATA All-American team. Fairmont State’s Rylee Vinson earned a spot on the NCATA Academic All-American team.

Ward was previously voted as the MEC Freshman of the Year, and Koehl won her second consecutive MEC Athlete of the Year honor earlier this month.

The NCATA also released its 2025 Academic Honor Roll recipients. Frostburg State had 25 student-athletes earn Honor Roll recognition, followed by Frostburg State (18), Wheeling (18), West Virginia State (12), Glenville State (11), Kutztown (11), and West Liberty (11).
