Weakley, Huffman Named to D2CCA All-American Team

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — The Mountain East Conference had a pair of women’s basketball players honored by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association this week.

Frostburg State’s Emilee Weakley added yet another honor in what has been a decorated collegiate career this week, earning D2CCA All-American second team honors. Fairmont State’s Leslie Huffman earned honorable mention recognition.

Weakley, a 5-foot-11 forward from Luray, Virginia, earned a spot on the second team for the third consecutive season. In the twilight and wake of her final season at Frostburg State, Weakley has racked up the recognition. The 2024 Mountain East Conference Player of the Year earned WBCA All-American honors last week following a season in which she was chosen as an All-MEC first team all-conference player and D2CCA All-Region first team — both for the third consecutive season.

Weakley far out-paced all scorers in Division II, averaging 27.4 points per game — CSU Pueblo’s Alisha Little was next with 24.9 points per game. Weakley played in 30 games, leading the MEC in minutes played (1,114), field goals (289), free throws (192), points (823), and points per game. She ranked eighth in the MEC in 3-pointers made (53), fifth in rebounds per game (8.6), seventh in field goal percentage (47.5), and fourth in free throw percentage (82.4).

She exits as Frostburg State’s all-time leading scorer with 2,243 points, while leading the Bobcats to a 19-win season and the program’s first MEC Tournament semifinal appearance.

Weakley led Division II in scoring the last three seasons, and finishes her collegiate career averaging 26.9 points per game — the second-best career mark in Division II history.

Huffman, a junior from Marietta, Ohio, was named the 2025 MEC Player of the Year after helping Fairmont State to its second consecutive regular season and tournament titles. She averaged 17.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, while collecting 78 steals. Huffman was second to Weakley in the MEC in scoring, while finishing third in free throw percentage (83.1), tied for 10th in 3s, and No. 15 in both rebounds and assists.

Previously, Huffman was named to the WBCA’s All-American honorable mention team. She was named the D2CCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year and 2025 MEC Tournament MVP, while posting the highest scoring average in MEC Tournament play.
