BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Frostburg State 165-pounder Mason Buckler has been selected as the Mountain East Conference Wrestler of the Week. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
 
The sophomore standout from Owings Mills, Md. avenged an earlier loss to Mountain East Conference 165-pound champion Wiley Houser of nationally-ranked Glenville State with a first-period fall during a dual meet against the Pioneers. Buckler pinner Houser at 1:41 of the opening period, accounting for nearly half of the Bobcats’ points in the 35-14 dual meet setback. Buckler also was credited with a win by forfeit in Frostburg State’s 35-21 dual meet victory over Davis & Elkins.
