Fairmont State’s Stalhammar, Diaz Named D2CCA All-American

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Filippa Stalhammar and Montserrat Diaz of Fairmont State University have both been named to the 2025 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Women's Soccer All-America teams, announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Both Filippa Stalhammar and Montserrat Diaz were named to the D2CCA All-America Second Team.
 
Stalhammar, a graduate defender from Vellinge, Sweden, was named the MEC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-MEC. Starting all 22 contests on the backline, she helped the Falcons to be tied for the least number of goals allowed in the conference. She also added six goals and three assists on the scoring side of the pitch.
 
Diaz, a senior midfielder from San Jose, Costa Rica, was named to the All-MEC First Team as she led the team with 12 goals and eight assists. On the season, she racked up 32 points. She also recorded six game-winning goals which led the conference.
