INDIANAPOLIS — Fairmont State and West Virginia State will represent the Mountain East Conference in the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer National Championship tournament field.

Fairmont State, the MEC North Division regular season champions and MEC tournament champs, are the No. 6 seed and will face Kutztown in Friday's first round at 10 a.m.. West Virginia State is the No. 7 seed and is set to meet West Chester, also on Friday, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.

The Falcons defeated the University of Charleston, 4-1, in Sunday’s MEC Women’s Soccer Championship final to receive the league’s automatic qualifying berth. The Yellow Jackets earned an at-large bid following an impressive season that included the MEC South Division title.
