BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Six players from the Mountain East Conference earned honorable mention All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Wednesday.
 
The Mountain East Conference selections included a trio from Wheeling University, headlined by the 2023 MEC Player of the Year and setter Karly Niesen, middle blocker Mady Winters and outside hitter Tylah Yeomans. The 2023 MEC Libero of the Year Nyia Setla (West Liberty) was also recognized, along with Fairmont State libero Josie Skinn and West Virginia State right-side hitter Diamond’Nique Young.
