BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Sophia Mankowski of the University of Charleston has been named the MEC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Notre Dame College’s Jordan Pasalaqua has been named the MEC Defensive Player of the Week.

Mankowski, a graduate student from Louisville, Kentucky, helped the Golden Eagles go 2-0 this week with wins over Fairmont State and Salem. She tallied four goals and two assists in UC's victory over Salem on Sunday.
Pasalaqua, a senior goalkeeper from Madison, Ohio, helped the Falcons go 2-0 this week with two shutout victories over Glenville State and West Virginia State. She tallied 11 total saves in the two contests with seven coming against GSU and four against WVSU. Pasalaqua hasn’t allowed a goal in 255 minutes of game play. In addition, the win over West Virginia State put Pasalaqua in a tie for the most career wins in NDC history with 34.
