BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The field for the 2021 Mountain East Conference Softball Tournament is set at the conclusion of play today.

Eight teams from the league (four from the North Division and four from the South Division) advance to compete at the tournament held this year at the James I. Moyer Complex. Play begins this Friday, May 7, at noon. (Complete schedule available on Tournament Central.)

All games from the tournament will be streamed live, and live stats will be provided for all games. Coverage links are available on Tournament Central. 

West Liberty, the defending tournament champions, is the North Division champion and is one of two No. 1 seeds. West Virginia State, the South Division champion, is the other No. 1 seed. 

Frostburg State, Fairmont State and Notre Dame also qualified for the postseason out of the North Division. Charleston, Concord and West Virginia Wesleyan advanced to the tournament out of the South Division.
