BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- West Virginia State's Naomi Waithira has earned Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Charleston's Madison Hansen is the league's Defensive Player of the Week.

Waithira, a junior from Nyrobi, Kenya, scored three goals in West Virginia State's 5-1 win over Glenville State -- the first victory in program history. She scored a pair late in the first half, and finished off the hat trick in the 78th minute.

Hansen, a junior from Gahanna, Ohio, helped lead UC to a 4-0 win over Concord. She scored her first goal of the season and also helped lead the defensive unit that posted a second-straight shutout.
