WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – West Liberty rattled off 20 unanswered points for a 32-9 lead midway through the first half and never looked back on its way to a 125-77 win over Frostburg State on Saturday evening at the ASRC.
Will Yoakum paced the Hilltoppers with 25 points in the win. Pat Robinson III added 22 followed by Bryce Butler with 20 points and six rebounds. Dalton Bolon chipped in 18 points and 12 boards while Preston Boswell and Jon Allessandro netted 13 points apiece and combined for 11 rebounds in the win for West Liberty (13-3, 8-2). The Hilltoppers shot 53% from the floor in the win.
Daniel Alexander led the effort for Frostburg State (6-10, 3-7) with 24 points and eight rebounds (two offensive, six defensive). Joe Adedayo followed with 22 points in the loss.
Fairmont State 93, Wheeling 81 | Box Score

FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Fairmont State used a 16-3 scoring run late in the second half to pull away for a 93-81 win over Wheeling University on Saturday evening at Dan Cava Court inside Joe Retton Arena.
With the win, Fairmont State snapped its two-game skid and improved to 11-4 overall and 6-4 in league play. WU fell to 9-5 overall and 6-4 in the league.
Fairmont State shot nearly 50 percent from the field and had three 20-point scoring performances in the win. Wheeling shot 39 percent from the field, including a 6-of-21 performance from behind the arc. Fairmont State also held a 39-37 advantage on the glass.
Kenzie Melko-Marshall finished the afternoon with 23 points and eight rebounds, while Cole VonHandorf equaled his scoring performance with 23 points and four rebounds. Isaiah Sanders also had a big day with 20 points and eight rebounds, shooting 7-of-11 from the field. Dale Bonner and Przemyslaw Golek also reached double-figures with 15 and 10 points, respectively.
Jarett Haines paced the Cardinals with 23 points and five rebounds. Jordan Reid also recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
The game featured 18 lead changes and 12 ties, although Fairmont State held the lead for 25:48.
Charleston 95, Notre Dame 70 | Box Score

CHARLESTON, W.Va. –The University of Charleston picked up a 95-70 win over Notre Dame on Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons shot over 50-percent from the field, for the third consecutive game. The Golden Eagles, who sits atop the Mountain East Conference, shot 59-percent and scored 50 first half points. The Golden Eagles' offense won the battle as they beat the Falcons, 95-70.
In the first seven minutes of the contest, the lead was swapped back and forth, four times. In that time, Notre Dame shot 64-percent while Charleston got off to a 62-percent shooting start.
Right before the first media timeout, Drew Scarberry knocked down a three pointer to put the Falcons ahead 16-15, with 13:36 remaining in the first half. Scarberry finished the game with 10 points and six rebounds.
With 13:08 on the clock, Charleston grabbed the lead, 17-16, following a layup by Lamont McManus. That was the beginning of an 11-2 run that gave UC a 26-18 advantage, with just under nine minutes to go. The Golden Eagles would hold onto that lead for the rest of the contest.
Charleston would push the lead as high as 17 points before the halftime break. The Golden Eagles, who shot 60-percent in the first half, led 50-35 as the teams went into the locker rooms.
For the first seven minutes of the second half, the Falcons' deficit remained around 15 points, before the Golden Eagles started to expand their lead. Charleston continued to shoot well, going 16-for-28 (57-percent) in the second half.
Deanthony Owens totaled 17 points and shot 7-for-8 from the field. He finished with 26 points, one shy of his season-high, while shooting 67-percent. Levi Frankland totaled 20 points on 57-percent shooting. Notre Dame shot 52-percent for the game and 53-percent from three.
Five players scored in double-digits for UC with Drew Rackley leading the way with 21 points, which included five 3-pointers. Charleston made 17 shots from long range and ended the game shooting 52-percent from outside. UC also had 33 rebounds to NDC's 19.
Glenville State 91, West Virginia Wesleyan 71 | Box Score
GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Pioneers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 91-71 win over West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday in the Waco Center. Glenville State shot 53% from the floor in the win.
Hegel Augustin and Steven Verplancken each drained 19 points in the win for the Pioneers (9-7, 6-4) while combining for 14 rebounds over the course of the contest. Najee Scott added 15 points and Phil Bledose chipped in 11 points and seven boards.
Marcus Larsson paced the Bobcats with 15 points in the setback. Dusan Vicentic added 14 points and six rebounds while Daylin Lee chipped in 13 points and seven boards. Clay Todd scored 10 points for West Virginia Wesleyan (6-10, 5-5) in the loss.
West Virginia State 95, Urbana 86 | Box Score
INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State overcame an early deficit and pulled away late for a 95-86 win over Urbana on Saturday evening.
Urbana raced out to a 13-1 lead and moved ahead 20-6 in the first six minutes of the game but streaky three-point shooting hurt the Blue Knights, who missed 10 consecutive attempts beyond the arc after starting 6 of 10 from deep.
The host Yellow Jackets regrouped and strung together a 21-4 run over the next 6:49, moving ahead 27-24 with under eight minutes until halftime.
The two squads started trading baskets as a four-point play from
Brandon Michrina helped put the Blue Knights back in front 33-32 at the 4:46 mark. But the lead was short-lived. West Virginia State closed the half on a 16-6 spurt and went up 48-39 at halftime. The Jackets led the rest of the game.
In the second half, Urbana trailed by as much as 17 with 5:38 remaining but made one final push to get within five.
Anthony Pittman netted 28 points with six rebounds for West Virginia State (12-3, 7-3). Michal Seals added 14 with Jeremiah Moore and Isaiah Noel adding 10 points. Moore hauled in a team-high nine rebounds in the win.
Shaunn Monroe led the effort for Urbana (4-12, 3-7) with 15 points. Tehree Horn and Mario Lacy each scored 12 with Lacy grabbing 13 rebounds (five offensive, eight defensive). Drew Thomas, Kyle Kegley and Brandon Michrina each scored nine in the loss.
Concord 80, Davis & Elkins 63 | Box Score
ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord shot 57% from the floor in the second half to run away with an 80-63 win over Davis & Elkins on Saturday afternoon.
Trey Brisco paced Concord (5-10, 3-7) with 18 points in the win. Martin Kelly Jr. added 15 points and eight rebounds. Brandon Kennedy scored 12 and Cole Meadows followed with 10 points and six rebounds. David Mulumba hauled in a team-high nine rebounds over the course of the contest.
Myles Monroe and Erkam Kiris each netted 22 points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss for Davis & Elkins (5-11, 3-7).
