BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- UNC Pembroke's Nick Daggett has been named the Mountain East Conference Wrestler of the Week for his performance on the mat this past weekend. 

Daggett, a junior from Goldston, N.C., posted four wins and placed third at the 41st Annual Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Ind. Daggett opened his day with a second-period pin (4:29) of Davenport's Daniel Poupore, before knocking off a pair of top-10 opponents to punch his ticket in the championship match of the 125-pound consolation tournament. Daggett won 5-2 over ninth-ranked Jacob Dunlop of Gannon. Daggett fell 4-2 to top-ranked Carlos Lacquez in the third-place match.

Darius Bunch (WLU) defeated No. 12 Jacob Ealy to earned an 8-4 decision win in a dual meet at No. 4 Pitt-Johnstown… Cj Thompson (D&E) helped the Senators to a pair of dual wins over the weekend… Jared Ford (UU) finished the weekend 3-2 at the Midwest Classic… Anthony Marra (NDC) took home third place at the Cleveland State Open, won three matches.
