FAIRMONT, W. Va. -  The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Women’s Soccer Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Frostburg State's forward Mollie Rebuck was selected as the MEC Offensive Player of the Week, while Point Park’s goalkeeper Nicole Kuchinski was named the MEC Defensive Player of the Week.

Rebuck, a junior from Hedgesville, West Virginia, scored a goal in each of the Bobcats’ wins this week. On Sept. 23, Rebuck scored the Bobcat’s second goal against Glenville State. Rebuck then scored the first goal of the game against Charleston on Sept. 27. 

Kuchinski, a senior from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, earned defensive player of the week for the second straight week. Kuchinski recorded two shutouts for the week, against Concord on Sept. 23 and Glenville State on Sept. 27. Kuchinski recorded 11 saves against Concord, and added two more saves against Glenville State.
