FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Men’s Soccer Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Frostburg State forward Inzaghi Harmon was selected as the MEC Offensive Player of the Week, while Concord goalkeeper Iori Tanaka was named the MEC Defensive Player of the Week.

Harmon, a sophomore forward from Accokeek, Maryland helped lead Frostburg to a win and a draw, scoring a goal and providing two assists in the contest. In the team's season-opening draw against Lock Haven, he provided an assist on the Bobcats' only goal. Then, in the victory over Ohio Dominican, he opened the scoring with his first goal of the year before also earning an assist on the second goal, setting a career-best three points in the process.

Tanaka, a junior goalkeeper from Kyoto, Japan led Concord’s defense in its 2-0 win over Virginia State and 0-0 draw versus Chowan. Tanaka finished the week with a clean sheet, tallying seven saves while allowing zero goals while playing a full 180 minutes.
