BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament seeds and pairings have been finalized. The five-day tournament, which is presented by The Health Plan, runs from Wednesday, March 4 to Sunday, March 8 at Wheeling’s WesBanco Arena.

The Top 10 teams in the MEC men’s basketball standings qualify for the conference tournament, and the top six seeds receive a bye. A pair of men’s matchups will be played Wednesday, followed by four quarterfinal matchups on Friday.
West Liberty is the top overall seed as the 2025-26 regular season champion. The Hilltoppers, are 24-4 overall and 18-2 in MEC play, enter the tournament after winning nine of their last 10 games and are averaging 99.3 points per game.
Fairmont State will be the No. 2 seed after finishing 17-3 in league play. The Falcons are riding a four-game win streak. They are the defending MEC Tournament Champion after defeating West Liberty in triple-overtime in 2025.
Wheeling is the No. 3 seed and are coming off a win over West Liberty (93-91) in the final regular season game. The No. 4 seed is the University of Charleston as they finished 14-6 in MEC play.
Glenville State is the No. 5 seed followed by Concord as the No. 6 seed, while Frostburg State is the No. 7 seed. The No. 8 seed belongs to Davis & Elkins while Point Park is the No. 9 seed, and the No. 10 seed is West Virginia State.
