BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
 
Charleston’s Thomas Hailey has been named the MEC Men’s player of the Week while West Liberty’s Reagan Vinskovich has been named the MEC Women’s Players of the Week.
 
Hailey, a forward graduate student from Monroe, North Carolina, scored 17 points while pulling down nine rebounds, to go along with seven assists in an 89-72 win over West Virginia Wesleyan. Then against Davis & Elkins, he scored 36 points and had six rebounds in an 85-75 win. Hailey, leads the MEC in Field Goal percent and is 2^nd in the NCAA in Field goal percentage.
 
Vinskovich, a forward red-shirt freshman from Belmont, Ohio, helped the Hilltoppers go 1-1 this week as they picked up a 92-82 win over Concord. She averaged 29.5 points in the two contests. She also finished with four steals, two assists, and 20 rebounds. Against Glenville State she tallied 38 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as she recorded a double-double.
