Tolbert is MEC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference has honored Concord University’s Kollin Tolbert as this week’s MEC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Tolbert, a 6-2 junior guard from Cincinnati, Ohio, exploded for a career-high 58 points in the Mountain Lions’ wild 122-119 double-overtime loss at Charleston on Saturday. He went 19-for-27 from the floor and 16-for-19 from the foul line in posting the second-highest single-game total in MEC history and the most in NCAA D2 basketball this season. For the week, the returning All-MEC standout averaged 34 points, 7 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two games.
