BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Three from the Mountain East Conference were recognized by the Intercollege Tennis Association (ITA) as 2023 Atlantic Region award winners for men’s tennis.

Fairmont State head coach Terry Deremer was named the 2023 Wilson ITA Coach of the Year in the Atlantic Region, while Alec Moran was honored as the ITA Assistant Coach of the Year. West Virginia Wesleyan senior Emanuel Mallya, a first-team All-MEC selection, was the recipient of the 2023 Senior Player of the Year Award as well as the Most Improved Senior Award.

Every year the ITA recognizes coaches and players for their excellence on the court and in their communities throughout the season. The national award winners will be announced next Tuesday, June 6th.
