BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference today announced the seeds and matchups for this week’s MEC Women’s Tennis Tournament, which will be played Saturday and Sunday (April 22-23) at the Schoenbaum Courts in Charleston, West Virginia.
 
Charleston women’s tennis, currently 18-1 overall and 6-0 in MEC play, won the 2023 MEC Regular Season Championship and will be the tournament’s top seed. West Liberty is the No. 2 seed after finishing the season with a 5-1 record in MEC play. West Virginia State (4-2) and Fairmont State (3-3) complete the tournament field as the No. 3 and No.4 seeds, respectively.
 
Action will get underway on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with top-seeded Charleston taking on fourth-seeded Fairmont State. The second women’s semifinal features No. 2 seed West Liberty against third-seeded West Virginia State at Noon.
 
The MEC Women’s Tennis Championship match is set for Sunday at Noon in Charleston.
