BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- West Virginia State's Abigail Wild has been named the Mountain East Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced today. 

Wild played at the No.1 spot for WVSU in a match at No. 12 Wingate on Sunday. She was the only Yellow Jacket that won her singles match. She dropped the first set to Camilla Ciaccia, 6-3, before taking the second, 6-4. The match was decided with a tiebreaker that Wild won, 10-6. The singles win was the first of her collegiate career.
