Fairmont State 80, West Virginia Wesleyan 69 | Final Stats
FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State used a balanced scoring attack and shot over 50 percent from the field in an 80-69 win over West Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday night at Joe Retton Arena.
Fairmont State held a 38-30 lead at the break, but couldn't shake free from the Bobcats until a 10-2 run midway through the second half pushed its lead from six to 14 with 10:54 to go. The Falcons would lead by as many as 20 before settling for the 11-point margin of victory.
Isaiah Sanders paced the Falcons (21-6, 15-6) with 17 points and five rebounds. Dale Bonner had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Kenzie Melko Marshall tossed in 15 more and Przemyslaw Golek had 10.
WVWC (10-17, 9-12) was led by 19 points and seven rebounds from Jaylin Reed. Daylin Lee scored 17 and pulled down eight rebounds for the Bobcats.
Concord 89, West Virginia State 75 | Final Stats
ATHENS, W.Va. -- Concord raced out to a 20-point first half lead to help the Mountain Lions earn an 89-75 win over West Virginia State on Wednesday night at the Carter Center.
CU went on a 24-4 spurt over a six-minute stretch in the first half to build a 27-10 lead. The Mountain Lions hit six three-pointers during that span. Meanwhile, WVSU was just 2-for-12 from the field in that time. West Virginia State would get as close as 13 with six minutes left in the game, but could get no closer the rest of the way.
Brandon Kennedy sank five three-pointers on his way to 17 points to lead Concord (11-16, 8-13). David Malumba had 15 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Trey Briscoe filled the box score with 14 points, six rebounds and six assists. Ethan Heller came off the bench to chip in 11.
Michal Seals and John Dawson each had 13 points to lead WVSU (18-8, 13-8). Jeremiah Moore had 12 points to go with six rebounds.
Charleston 71, Glenville State 70 | Final Stats
GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- Charleston's Lamont McManus scored the final five points of the game to help Charleston rally past Glenville State, 71-70, on Wednesday night at the Waco Center.
Trailing 70-66 with under 30 seconds to play, McManus converted a traditional three-point play to get the Golden Eagles back to within one. The Pioneers were fouled on their possession, but went 0-for-2 from the free throw line to allow UC to get the ball back. After a timeout, McManus drew another foul and sank two more free throws to give Charleston the lead at 71-70. Glenville State's three-point attempt at the buzzer would not go down as UC held on for the win.
McManus finished with 21 points and five rebounds for UC (22-5, 16-5). Devon Robinson had 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Drew Rackley and Seth O'Neal each tallied 13 points.
Glenville State's Phil Bledsoe had a game-high 27 points to go with eight rebounds for the Pioneers (13-14, 10-11). Steven Verplancken had 18 points. Hegel Augustin tossed in 10 more.
Urbana 74, Wheeling 67 | Final Stats
URBANA, Ohio -- Urbana held off Wheeling in a 74-67 win over the Cardinals on Wednesday night at the Grimes Center.
UU went out to a 40-25 lead after the first half. The Blue Knights held a 21-14 edge on the glass in the first 20 minutes, including nine on the offensive glass. Urbana was in control ahead 60-42 with 8:52 to go before Wheeling rattled off 12-2 run to get within eight at 62-54 with still 3:41 to go. The Cardinals trimmed the lead to just two at 67-65 with under a minute to play, but a Tehree Horn layup pushed the lead back to four. Wheeling made a layup on the other end, but two more free throws from Horn sealed it for Urbana.
Mike Ryan led the way for Urbana (7-20, 6-15) with 16 points. Mario Lacy scored 14 points and six rebounds. Shaunn Monroe notched 13.
Wheeling (14-11, 11-10) was led by 18 points from Jarett Haines. Emmanuel Ansong had 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Jay Reid chipped in 12.
West Liberty 86, Notre Dame 72 | Final Stats

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – West Liberty downed Notre Dame, 86-72, on Wednesday night at Murphy Gym.
The Hilltoppers (23-4, 18-3) as they clinched their third straight outright MEC championship by completing the season sweep of the Falcons (9-18, 7-14).
Notre Dame opened the game with a 3-point play from Deanthony Owens but West Liberty scored 10 of the next 13 points over the next two minutes and never trailed again.
After leading by 11 points on multiple occasions, West Liberty settled for a 45-36 advantage at the break.
Notre Dame came out strong in the second half, closing the gap to a single point, 51-50, on a Levi Frankland 3-pointer as the clock ticked under 16 minutes but WLU quickly took charge.
Dalton Bolon answered with a 3-pointer at the other end, sparking a 15-5 Hilltopper surge that restored the double-digit margin, 66-55, with just under 11 minutes to play. The Falcons never got the lead under six points the rest of the night.
Bolon and sophomore guard Patrick Robinson III led the way for the Black and Gold with 23 and 21 points, respectively. Marlon Moore Jr. added 13 points and a game-high 9 rebounds off the bench while Will Yoakum donated 11 points, 6 rebounds and a team-high 3 assists to the cause.
Owens paced four double-figure scorers for the hosts with 24 points.
Davis & Elkins 77, Frostburg State 75 | Final Stats
FROSTBURG, Md. -- Davis & Elkins held off Frostburg State, 77-75, on Wednesday night at Bobcat Arena.
The Senators led by 10 with just over three minutes to play, but Frostburg State rattled off an 11-2 run to get to within a point at 75-74. Myles Monroe made a free throw to make it a two-point lead for D&E, and the two teams traded single free throws down the stretch as the Senators held on for the win.
Donte Doleman led Davis & Elkins (8-19, 6-15) with 22 points. Eram Kiris scored 19 and pulled down and eight rebounds. Mandela Baledrokadroka had 13 points and also dished out eight assists.
Frostburg State's Daniel Alexander had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Bobcats (10-17, 7-14). Terry Kenner had 11 points and Joe Adedayo tallied 10 points.
