Notre Dame 85, Fairmont State 83 | Final Stats
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame outscored Fairmont State 49-43 in the second half as NDC upset Fairmont 84-81 in front of a home crowd, Saturday.
NDC (4-10, 2-6) led the contest for most of the game (23:48) but this game had five different lead changes and was tied four times. Notre Dame shot 54.2 percent from the field (32-of-59) compared to Fairmont’s (10-3, 5-3) 46.2 percent from the field (30-of-65).
Notre Dame had five players score double figures as Drew Scarberry led the way with 23 points and eight rebounds, while Jordan Burton added 17 points and three assists. DeAnthony Owens posted 14 points and five assists along with Bruce Hodges III and Levi Frankland each adding 13 points and seven rebounds.
Fairmont’s Dale Bonner scored 22 points and dished out five assists.
West Virginia State 85, West Virginia Wesleyan 84 | Final Stats
BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- Two late free throws from Michael Seals sealed the game for West Virginia State as it defeated West Virginia Wesleyan, 85-84, Saturday.
WVSU (10-3, 5-3) and WVWC (5-9, 4-4) totaled 11 different lead changes throughout the game as WVWC led 82-81 when Seals hit a jumper with 24 seconds remaining to give WVSU an 83-82 lead. Seals connected on two free throws with seven seconds remaining for an 85-82 lead.
Anthony Pittman led the way for WVSU with 21 points, while four other Yellow Jackets were in double figures as Jeremiah Moore had 19, Seals had 15, Glen Abram had 12 and Treohn Watkins had 10.
Ross Young posted a game-high 25 points for the Bobcats.
West Liberty 129, Glenville State 89 | Final Stats
WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. --
West Liberty scored 83 points in the first half on its way to a 129-89 victory over Glenville State on Saturday.
WLU (11-3, 6-2) shot 50 percent (17-of-34) from behind the arc, while GSC (8-6, 5-3) shot 38.9 percent from three (14-of-36). The Hilltoppers tallied 27 assists to the Pioneers 10. WLU forced GSC to 24 turnovers.
Will Yoakum dropped a game-high 33 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists, while Malik McKinney scored 20 points with six assists. WLU had three others in double figures: Pat Robinson III (18), Dalton Bolon (14) and Owen Hazelbaker (12).
Phil Bledsoe scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Pioneers.
Urbana 72, Frostburg State 55 | Final Stats
URBANA, Ohio --
Urbana held Frostburg State to just 25 percent (18-of-71) from the field as the Blue Knights rolled to a 72-55 victory on Saturday.
Urbana (4-10, 3-5) controlled the paint holding a 40-20 advantage over Frostburg inside. Tehree Horn posted a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, while teammate Shaunn Monroe tallied a team-high 17 points for the Blue Knights.
Joe Adedayo poured in a game-high 27 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Bobcats.
Wheeling 74, Concord 71 | Final Stats
WHEELING, W.Va. --
Free throws down the stretch helped Wheeling hold off Concord for a 74-71 victory on Saturday.
Wheeling (8-4, 5-3) did not make a field goal the last five minutes of the game but connected on five free throws in the final 45 seconds to keep to lead. Concord (4-9, 2-6) had the ball in the final seconds down by three (74-71) but was unable to get a shot attempt off before the clock hit zero.
Jordan Reid poured in a game-high 27 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Jarett Haines and Emmanuel Ansong each scored 14 points for WU.
Liam Evans posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Malik Johnson also added 19 points for the Mountain Lions.
Charleston 91, Davis & Elkins 57 | Final Stats
ELKINS, W.Va. --
Charleston built a 19-point first-half lead and never looked back in a 91-57 victory over Davis & Elkins on Saturday.
Charleston (12-2, 6-2) jumped out to a 44-25 lead at halftime and never looked back. UC held the advantage in rebounds (42-31), assists (20-12) and points in the paint (58-36) over D&E (4-10, 6-2).
Lamont McManus scored a game-high 17 points, while Devon Robinson posted a double-double with 12 rebounds and 12 points. Three other Golden Eagles were in double figures: Seth O'Neal (14), Eddie Colbert (12) and Riley Heatherington (11).
Myles Monroe scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Senators.
