FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The 2026 Mountain East Conference football season enters the final week of nonconference play as a pair of Mountain East teams will compete on Thursday, Sept. 10 and Friday, Sept. 11. MEC action continues with four league teams taking the field on Saturday, Sept. 12, beginning at noon ET. 

West Virginia Wesleyan welcomes Shippensburg to Buckhannon, West Virginia on Thursday, with kick off scheduled for 7 p.m. On Friday, Charleston will travel to Tigerville, South Carolina to take on North Greenville at 7 p.m.

Two MEC teams kick off at noon on Saturday, as Frostburg State hosts Assumption in Frostburg, Maryland and Fairmont State heads to Findlay, Ohio to face off against Findlay. West Liberty will travel to Waterbury, Connecticut to battle against Post at 1 p.m. Wheeling closes out the day against Lake Erie, with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m.
