BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The University of Charleston men’s tennis team will be one of 16 teams competing at the NCAA Division II nationals, which will be held May 20 through May 24 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
UC, which defeated Davis & Elkins, 4-0, on Saturday to advance to the Sweet Sixteen, will be joined by fellow No. 1 seeds Grand Valley State, Valdosta State, and Queens. Also in the field will be West Florida, Barry, UIndy, Edinboro, UT Tyler, St. Thomas Aquinas, Columbus State, and North Georgia.
Edinboro rallied to defeat Fairmont State, 4-3, to secure a spot in the bracket.
Valdosta State is the defending national champion in NCAA Division II men’s tennis.
