The seeds and matchups for the NCAA Division II Elite 8 have been set. Mountain East Conference member West Liberty is the No. 2 seed among the quarterfinalists, and will match up with No. 7 seed Cal State Dominguez Hills on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
The quarterfinals and semifinals will be broadcast on ESPN+, while the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship will be broadcast on CBS.
West Liberty punched its ticket to the Elite 8 with a 101-90 win against NCAA Atlantic Regional No. 2 seed Gannon on Tuesday night. The Hilltoppers improved to 30-4 with Tuesday night’s win, the seventh time in program history a team has reached 30 victories in a season. West Liberty reached the regional final for the 11th time in the last 15 seasons, and improved to 19-1 in NCAA Tournament games at ASRC. WLU has won eight regional championships.
Cal State Dominguez Hills is 28-5 on the season and will enter the Elite 8 on a nine-game winning streak. The NCAA West Regional No. 2 seed defeated top-seeded Point Loma, 61-58, on Monday night to advance to the national quarterfinals. This will be CSUDH’s first Elite 8 appearance in program history.
