BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week’s Men’s Soccer Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.
Concord’s Jaden McKree and Frostburg State’s Jan Foret are the MEC Men’s Soccer Players of the Week.
McKree, a senior from Trinidad & Tobago, was named the Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a crucial goal in the Mountain Lions’ 2-1 win against West Liberty. McKree’s goal, his third of the season, proved to be the winner as Concord locked into second place in the MEC standings.
Foret, a sophomore from Czechia, won the MEC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after not allowing a goal in 160 minutes of action last week. Forget recorded a clean sheet in a 2-0 win against Wheeling, and then did not allow a goal in 70 minutes in a 3-1 win at West Virginia Wesleyan.
